We have been advised by Metametrix Laboratories that from 01 June 2013 the specimen requirements for a number of Allergix food antibody profiles will change. The tests affected are:
0075 IgG4 food antibodies
0078 Celiac profile
0270 Combined IgG4 and IgE food antibodies
0278 Combined IgG4 food antibodies and Celiac profile
The serum specimens for these tests will need to be provided frozen, rather than refrigerated.
Any tests submitted and accessioned before 01 June 2013 should use the current test kit and provide a refrigerated specimen. Any tests received on or after 01 June 2013 must use the new polyfoam kit for a frozen specimen or else they will be rejected.
